Genesis 1:1-31: And God said.....
When you read these scriptures about how we came into existence, you read "And God Said", and it was created.
verse 3: And God said "Let there be light" and it was so.
verse 6: And God said "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water." And it was so.
verse 9: And God said "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and the dry ground appear." And it was so.
verse 14: "And God said "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night..." and it was so.
and so on.....
God spoke these things into existence; He spoke and it was so.
UNTIL you get to verse 26, "Then God said, let us make man in our image, in our likeness...." verse 27: "so God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."
Notice is does not say "And God said.....and it was so"? It actually says "God Created" .... He did not just speak and man appeared. He actually created with His hands, man on earth.
Chapter 2:7 "the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed life his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being."
He actually took the dirt and molded man into His image, and then He breathed life into the nostrils of the figure He created, and it came to be.
Have you wondered why God didn't just speak man into existence like He did everything else? I think it's because man was God's special project! He wanted man to be exactly in His image; and therefore, took the dirt and water and molded, as someone working with clay, takes that clump of clay and molds it, fine tunes it into a beautiful work of art; a masterpiece!
This to me shows me the true level of God's love for mankind. He took the time to actually MOLD and BUILD mankind with His own hands, for His pleasure. He wanted man to be exactly the way He wanted it to be....no flaws....in His image. He had a vision in His mind of what he wanted man to look like, in His image.
He already knew the masterpiece design before we were even made. As Psalm 139:13-16 says, "For You created me in my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before even one of them came to be."
I am amazed at His love. I am in awe of just how much He loves us. I am blessed at how His hand has been on me since before I was born! I give Him ALL Glory; All Honor: and ALL praise, today!! AMEN!!!
